Tangy mustard braai sauce



  • 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (such as Tabasco)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, hot sauce, and garlic powder.
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Let the sauce sit for about 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  4. Use the sauce to baste your meat during the braai (barbecue), or serve it on the side as a dipping sauce.
