– 1 loaf of bread (preferably a crusty white bread)
– 500g beef chuck roast
– 1 onion, chopped
– 4 cloves of garlic, minced
– 2 tomatoes, chopped
– 2 jalapeno peppers, chopped
– 2 tablespoons chili powder
– 1 tablespoon cumin
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– 1 cup beef broth
– 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
– 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Olive oil

1. Preheat your braai grill to 220°C.
2. Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper.
3. Place the beef on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 55°C.
4. Remove the beef from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes.
5. In a pan, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions, garlic, tomatoes, and jalapeno peppers. Cook for 5 minutes, until the vegetables are soft.
6. Add the chili powder, cumin, and oregano to the pan and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
7. Pour in the beef broth and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
8. Using two forks, shred the beef and add it to the pan with the vegetable and broth mixture. Let it cook together for another 5 minutes.
9. Cut the loaf of bread in half lengthwise and scoop out the center to create a hollowed-out bread boat.
10. Fill the bread boat with the beef and vegetable mixture.
11. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and cilantro.
12. Place the bread boat on the braai grill and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.
13. Remove from the grill, let it cool for a few minutes, and then slice into individual portions.
