This delicious braai recipe for sesame ginger glazed prawns is sure to please. Preheat the grill to 180°C and cook the prawns for 5 minutes each side. In a separate bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, honey and chilli powder. Brush the prawns with the glaze and cook for a further 5 minutes. Serve with your favorite side dish for a tasty meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1kg jumbo prawns (peeled and deveined)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder

Directions:

  1. Preheat the grill to 180°C.
  2. Place the prawns on the grill and cook for 5 minutes each side.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, honey and chilli powder.
  4. Remove the prawns from the grill and brush with the glaze.
  5. Place them back on the grill and cook for a further 5 minutes.
  6. Flip them over and brush the other side with the glaze.
  7. Cook for a final 5 minutes.
  8. Serve with your favorite side dish.
