Curried Braai Potato Salad

This Curried Braai Potato Salad is a unique take on the classic potato salad. A medley of potatoes, carrots, peas, and spices are combined for a flavorful twist on the traditional dish. The curry spices give the salad an exotic flavor that is sure to be a hit at any gathering.


  • 2 pounds small potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 carrots, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup frozen green peas
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons yellow curry powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the potatoes and carrots and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, curry powder, garlic powder, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the potatoes, carrots, and peas to the bowl and toss to combine.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  5. When ready to serve, adjust seasoning to taste with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
