Spicy Braai Coleslaw

This Spicy Braai Coleslaw is an easy and flavorful side dish. It’s made with a mix of crunchy vegetables, jalapenos, and a lime vinaigrette for a zesty kick. Perfect for your next summer BBQ or picnic!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 head green cabbage, shredded
  • 1/2 head red cabbage, shredded
  • 1/2 red onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup diced jalapenos, fresh or canned
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the green and red cabbage, red onion, jalapenos, and cilantro.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lime juice, apple cider vinegar, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss to combine.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  5. Before serving, adjust the seasoning to taste with salt and pepper.
  6. Transfer the coleslaw to a serving bowl and garnish with extra cilantro, if desired.
  7. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
