Citrus Braai Coleslaw with Orange Segments and Lemon Dressing
This zesty coleslaw recipe is perfect for a summer bbq or braai. It combines crunchy cabbage, sweet oranges, and a zesty lemon dressing for a delicious side dish that is sure to please.
- 1 head of green cabbage, thinly sliced
- 2 oranges, peeled and cut into segments
- 1/2 cup of mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley (optional)
- In a large bowl, combine the cabbage and orange segments and mix together.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, honey, pepper, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the dressing over the cabbage and oranges and mix until everything is evenly coated.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour.
- When ready to serve, sprinkle the parsley (if desired) over the top of the coleslaw.
