This delicious braai milktart is the perfect combination of sweet and savoury. Start by preheating your oven to 350F. Grease a 9-inch round tart pan and set aside. In a medium bowl, mix together the ingredient 1, ingredient 2 and ingredient 3. Pour the mixture into the pre-greased tart pan and bake in the oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Once cooled, top with your favorite berry compote. Serve and enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 110g butter, melted
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup of your favorite berry compote
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350F.
  2. Grease a 9-inch round tart pan and set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and cinnamon.
  4. Add in the melted butter and eggs and mix until combined.
  5. Add in the milk and mix until a smooth dough forms.
  6. Press the dough evenly into the prepared tart pan.
